Help name a film I have written for English media.?

I need to write a film synopsis for english media coursework. The film is based on a true story. It is set in 1940's England, in a small village near Portsmouth. Canadian troops are training in the woods nearby, and the start of the film follows the main character and his friends (young village boys) as they sneak into the Canadian camp and attempt to join in a training activity using live ammo. A young and handsome Canadian officer catches the boys and drags them home. At the protagonist's house, the officer meets the young boy's older sister Daisy. They arrange to meet and subsequently fall in love. The film then develops as it shows the couple's relationship, and the dangerous antics of the village boys. The troops are told they are to leave, as D-day is nearing and they are prepared to go to the landing beaches. They give their possessions to the village children, and the protagonist is given money by his sister's boyfriend. Their commanders soon catch on to what is happening and stop the troops giving it to the children because word could get out that they were preparing to leave for an attack. The soldiers have nothing else to do but hide their possessions in holes in trees. The troops vacate the forest after a tearful farewell from the Officer and Daisy the sister. He doesn't return after the attacks on the landing beaches. Daisy never marries. Many years later when she is living alone she is collecting wood for a fire, and as she throws the logs into the burner, the old soldiers possessions fall out. The film ends as a tear slides down the old lady's face as she stares at the smoldering money.
