Period question?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!! important?

i woke up the other day and there was some blood in my pj bottoms. i wiped and there was blood so i thought it was my period (first time ever) and then it just randomly stopped. this was yesterday and it hasnt come back yet. it was brownish red. so was this my period? if so, what the hell is wrong with it?!
