Should I become a Drafter?

I'm 18 years old and I'm planning on going to NOVA (Northern Virginia Community College) I want to be a Drafter in Architecture. The program on the catalog says drafting Specialization. Is that that same thing? Well I'm wondering if it will be hard for me to get in job in this field in Fairfax County VA? or in any near by County? and will I make a good amount of money? Also is a CAD Drafter the same thing?
