Not enough money to buy new car even with car loan.?

I went to the bank ask for a $17k car loan, I needed a co-signer which i got but only got approved for $10k. I have $2k but the car I wanted costs around $18-19k it's a 2011 chevy cruze. I know I'm missing money but will the dealership finance the rest? Or I'm I stuck with a used car with lots of miles? First time car buyer.
