How to get out of Navy DEP for college?

I am currently in Navy DEP and my ship date is December 2010. I want to get out and go to college first. I have applied to 2 colleges and if I can get into their program, then I will chose that over the Navy. How can I get out and will it affect my college admission chances/qualification at all?
