How can I make this paper better and longer?

Economically, the country is going through a lot of change right now, with many people hit hard by the changes being made in living standards, the numbers of jobs available and the loss of income for older people, through problems with pension funds and the low interest available for savings. Many people are worried about how they will manage to live through the next few years and how they can manage to keep a roof over their heads and feed their children.
