Do you think that affirmative action in the work place should be extended to white women?

There appears to be an increasing trend that companies employ a lot of Asian women and very few white women. One man who works in Human Resources at Shell, told me that it is done deliberately as his company has then satisfied the requirements relating to employ racial minorities and females.
